The Cook Center brings together faculty, students, organizations, practitioners, and other partners across Duke and the broader community to advance shared efforts to understand and address inequality. By connecting diverse perspectives and expertise, these collaborations strengthen research and learning, link scholarship with community knowledge and priorities, and expand opportunities to advance equity and social justice.

National Education Opportunity Network (NEON)

The Cook Center is the institutional home of the Duke + NEON partnership, through which talented scholars from low-income high schools across the country have the opportunity to take credit-bearing courses taught by Duke University professors. This partnership also provides opportunities for Duke undergraduate and graduate students to hone their mentoring skills as Teaching Fellows.
